Release time:2017-12-25 Reading volume: 585
Window screws are important components used to secure windows, and they play a crucial role in ensuring the stability and reliability of window structures. The following is a detailed introduction to window screws:Main functions:
The main function of window screws is to fix the window frame, keep it stable, and provide sufficient support for the window.
When the window is subjected to wind, rain, and temperature changes, screws can resist the influence of internal and external forces, preventing the window from deforming or becoming unable to close after deformation.
Material classification:
Carbon steel screw: also known as iron screw, is a commonly used screw in door and window installation. According to carbon content, it can be divided into types such as low-carbon steel, medium carbon steel, high carbon steel, and alloy steel. It is generally recommended to choose medium carbon steel with higher strength, but due to its non rust resistance, it is best to have an anti rust coating.
Stainless steel screw: It has excellent anti rust ability, especially in humid or rainstorm prone areas. According to the composition and process, stainless steel screws can be subdivided into types such as austenite and martensite. Common models include 302, 303, 304, 316, 410, etc.
Type selection:
The commonly used types of screws in door and window installation include expansion screws, self tapping screws, and self drilling screws. The expansion screw is equipped with expansion fittings on the outside, and the internal screws are mainly made of two materials: carbon steel and stainless steel.
Installation method:
When installing windows, the window should first be firmly seated at the opening, fixed in position, and then fixed with screws and plastic expansion pins. Generally, bolts need to be 10 centimeters long. If the hole is deviated or requires deeper fixation, the bolt may need to be 12 centimeters long to be directly fixed to the cement pouring layer of the original wall.
Size standard:
There are three size standards for window screws: GB/T848, GB/T849, GB/T850, etc.
Notes:
When selecting window screws, a comprehensive consideration should be given to factors such as the material, size, and installation environment of the window, and a suitable screw material, model, and size should be selected.
When installing screws, ensure that the connection between the screws and the window frame and wall is firm and reliable to avoid loosening or falling off.
Regularly check the fastening of screws, and if any looseness or damage is found, replace or repair them in a timely manner.
From the above introduction, it can be seen that window screws are important in window installation. Choosing and using window screws correctly can ensure the stability and safety of windows, improve their service life and performance.
